I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first two in the series, but I still liked it a lot! I loved how the relationship between Eric and Thea progressed. I didn't understand how Blaise could be so vicious one minute and caring the next. I also didn't understand how Thea could just forgive Blaise for wanting to kill Eric so easily. Plus, I am really starting to get tired of the whole soul mate storyline. Every book L.J. Smith has written so far goes; major problem threatens human -> night worlder can fix problem but only by breaking the laws -> night worlder finds out that they are soul mate with human -> night worlder promptly disregards all laws that they grew up with, putting their life and the human's life in peril -> they get caught -> everybody still lives happily ever after. I just want a new storyline for the 4th book. Is that too much to ask?
