Recs if you like Soul Eater, Vol. 1 (Soul Eater, #1)...

JK Rowling is a bigot who uses her platform to hurt transfolks and other marginalized groups (plus she literally just quoted Mein Kampf on the bird site). If you're still supporting her in 2025, don't bother talking to me.

Manga (and novels) that had disappointing anime adaptations (according to me). Series that only had piecemeal "greatest hits" OVAs will also be included. Series that fell off after a promising debut are also included. Series with one good adaptation but some bad ones are also included.

I wanted to collate all the largest and greatest manga completed series with the first and last volumes to help me look to what to read next but also maybe this list will be helpful for others.

Somewhat subjective list of what i consider to be the essential reads for the Shonen genre of manga, as well as what i consider to the best of the best. List will be a solid mix of old influential manga as well as newer high quality stuff that are more popular and commonly seen referenced
