Harper Elves don’t exist. They definitely don’t leap out of portals in the middle of the DMV, looking like the god of thunder and claiming I’m destined to save their world. Yet here we are. Now I'm practically attached at the hip to Aaran, a point-eared, magic-wielding elf who insists I'm "the chosen one." How am I supposed to fight an Elven witch queen and save Aaran's world when I can't even manage to renew my driver's license on time? He must have the wrong Jersey Girl. Aaran My mission was simple: bring the human woman back to Domhan, as the oracle foretold. No distractions, no attachments. But when Harper refuses to help, I break the rules and heal her dying mother. I shouldn’t have—my world is already running out of magic. Now she’s agreed to come, but at what cost? The oracle says Harper’s magic is strong but dormant. I can only pray they’re right—because if she can’t unlock her power, neither of us will survive the witch queen’s wrath.
