The Annals of the Cakchiquels was written at the end of the 16th century by several Cakchiquels who had learned the art of modern writing. The Title of the Lords of Totonicapan was written in the Quiche language apparently in 1554, and contains a brief history of the Quiches from their legendary origins to the reign of their greatest king, Quikab.
