Yan Suizhi, the young and accomplished dean of the interstellar Maze University’s law school, wakes up in a body that has been gene-modified to resemble that of a twenty-something-year-old. He had supposedly ‘died’ in a premeditated explosion a few months ago but someone had managed to save him. 0Mu Su Li can do no wrong. This is my third novel by her (altough Nights shouldn't count because the translation was really... not the best) and I really love her characters and the way she really ties in every "loose end" in her plots... ppl saying "plot holes" in a Mu Su Li comment section clearly never finished reading the entire thing.
My only complaint is how fast and slightly anti-climatic her endings tend to be, but I still love them. Will re read. Mu su Li is a goddess and as stated in the beggining, she can do no wrong.
ps: This is a novel about lawyers but for some reason they spend more time in Spring Ivy Hospital than their law firm or even the court house......
next Mu Su Li novel in line: Copper Coins (While I wait for Noodesoup translation of Nights to take a little fly...)
