Reading Central Asia
A region that shaped world history, produced some of its most luminous poetry, and somehow stayed off most reading lists. A reading list for anyone who realized they knew almost nothing about/from Central Asia and wanted to fix that. Central Asia includes Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and most of Kazakhstan. Sometimes Afghanistan is also considered a part of it.

Women on (mountain) Top!
Nonfiction focusing on women rock climbers and mountaineers. Most of the climbing and mountaineering literary canon is extremely male-centric. This list, focused on women's accomplishments in the outdoors, seeks to help move their stories into the spotlight.

Climbing books to live vicariously through
Rock climbing books to dirty up on an adventure. (Remembered i can learn more from books rather than random Internet search stitching, I don't know what happened but it's like I completely forgot how good books were for that. Get out your markers and circle some bits of paper everyone
The nz alpine journals are also pretty great but are journals instead of books so un-addable(hit up your local second hand book scrapyard to find your local alpine club publications you may find gold)
