Recs if you like No Better Than Beasts...

We're celebrating Trans Day of Visibility by sharing books with queer characters written by trans (transgender and non-binary) authors. (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

July is Disability Pride Month! Here's a big pile of books with disabled characters. All the books also have at least one queer character, and in most cases, the queer character and the disabled character are one and the same. (There are a few non-fiction titles in the mix as well; representation for queerness may be subtext/interpreted). It's Labor Day in the US, so we (the folks at Duck Prints Press - the indie publisher I own - who contribute to a lot of the rec lists I post) thought it'd be fun to put together a list of fiction and non-fiction featuring queer folks involved in labor movements!
