Pretend love mixed with real feelings is a tricky game. Nick is my gorgeous next-door neighbor. He's my brother’s best friend. He lets me stay at his place while mine is being remodeled. Guess what? Nick’s parents surprised us with a visit, and they’re thrilled to see us together. They really want Nick to find love, and I'm secretly hoping it’s with me. I've had a crush on him since college, long before he became a billionaire CEO. He always sees me as his best friend’s younger sister. But I want him to see me as more... We agree to pretend to be a couple to please his parents. Then he touches me, and a shiver goes down my spine. The more we pretend the spark between us isn’t real, the hotter we burn. He’s my fake fiancé... But I’m not pretending. Will our fake marriage prove to be real love? Or are we fooling ourselves in the way we hoped to fool his parents?

Ellie has had a crush on Nick for years. But he's her brother's best friend and since he's known her since she was very young, she is sure that he will never see her as anything but a younger sister. They also live next door to each other. When Ellie's home needs repairs, Nick offers her his guest room. When his parents come to visit, they are thrilled to see the two of them together. They want him to be married and happy and Nick wants to at least pretend that they are headed toward marriage to help his parents be happy. In order to pay for the repairs to the house so Ellie can sell it, Nick offers her a job at his company. The more time that they spend together, the harder it is to resist each other. Soon they are in a relationship, but trying to keep everyone (except Nick's parents) from finding out. What will happen when inevitably the truth comes out?
