What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Until I brought my fake girlfriend home. When I took a seat next to the gorgeous brunette at the blackjack table, I had no idea it would be the start of the hottest weekend of my life. By day, Stevie and I dominate the casinos of Sin City. By night, I dominate her in my penthouse suite. Then my brother Samuel ruins it by asking me to come home for his engagement party. Because he’s not just getting married. This isn’t a normal celebration for me. His future bride is my "one who got away." The girl I may or may not still be in love with. The catch? He wants me to prove I’m over his fiancée before they set a date. So I ask Stevie to double down on our chemistry and pretend to be my girlfriend. We set our ground rules: lots of sex, plenty of pretend smiles, and no strings. But we’re not only gambling with the truth. We’re gambling with our hearts. They say every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. But Stevie’s past may force us to fold on our future before it’s even begun. SOUTHERN SINNER is a full-length, standalone novel in the North Carolina Highlands Series.

Yeah, well... no wonder it's titled as Southern Sinner, because damn, it is kinda full of sin..(?) And most importantly, I was not prepared for this to be spicier than the previous two books. And I might wanna confess that the love triangle plot that happens in the previous book was a good excuse to build this book's own plot and it makes this one a good bridge to the series.

I equally love both Stevie and Hank characters. Stevie is such a badass character, and Hank is the epitome of the perfect perfecest man. It was an absolute blast to read their stories. Their chemistry was scorchingly intense, and they had excellent banter, and also the romance is powerful and passionate. The characters also happen to have an incredible connection with one another, which results in some heated scenes that absolutely drew our attention. Even the third break-up act was not come to my dislike since they both handled it so well and the conclusion was perfect. Moreover, I adore the way Hank and Samuel have finally come to their reconcilement, and the found family trope that the author describe in this book (series) is incredible either.

I sincerely wanted to know where the author would lead us in the next book, since the epilogue provided us a glimpse of Rhett side of the story (re:problem) which pique my curious so much. Yeah! I'll definitely read Southern Playboy immediately right after this!
