This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!

(This is not exhaustive! Just 100 or so books that vaguely trace the development of Scottish Literature.)

Books for when you want to induce autumn vibes regardless of the time of year. Purely vibes/atmosphere based so not all recs will be “spooky” or autumnal, it’s more the aura they give off - think dark academia, dark fantasy, some classics, southern gothic, etc.

There’s a witch in you. Magical cunning woman. Innocent victim blamed. Be it folklore, history, fantasy, or dangerous injustice - pick up a book and tell your inner witch a devilishly good tale…
