This is a short novella that picks up directly after book 2 and gives a little insight into what happens once Alex awakens. It takes place from Aiden's POV which was interesting but not a lot happens plot-wise.

Like with the prequel novella, I didn't think this added a lot to the story. However I would say this is kind of critical to the series. The events in here aren't really recapped and they do reference some of the events in book 4.

Overall this was just fine. This book starts and ends in the exact same place, but it does give you some insight into Alex's awakening and Aiden's struggles.
