Nolan Baker longs to be "thirty, flirty and thriving" in this charmingly quirky LGBTQIA+ romance that's one part 13 Going on 30 and one part One Last Stop. WHY CAN'T WE SKIP TO THE GOOD PART? Twenty-three-year-old Nolan Baker wants it all by the time he's thirty. Too bad he's single, barely able to cover his own expenses, and still paying his dues at a prominent NYC comedy club. When faced with his perfect sister's wedding, Nolan takes it as a wakeup call. It's time to quit comedy and make good on his practical dreams—most importantly, asking Drew Techler, his best friend, to be his date. But right as Nolan is about to give it all up, he's asked to fill a last-minute spot for a famous comedian. Score! He crushes his set, but stands Drew up, misses his sister's big day, and disappoints his entire family. After major blowouts with everyone he loves, Nolan desperately wishes on a set of gift "magical healing crystals" to skip to the good part of life. When he wakes the next morning, it's seven years later, he's a successful comedian, and he has everything he always thought he wanted. Everything, that is, except his friends and family, none of whom are taking his future self's calls. With nowhere else to turn, Nolan sets out to find the only person he trusts to help. Except Drew is all grown up now, too. He's hot, successful...and hates Nolan's guts. As Nolan works to get back to his younger self—and the life he so carelessly threw away—he'll have to prove he's not the man everyone thinks they know in order to regain Drew's trust, friendship, and maybe, ultimately, his heart. While part of a series, this book stands alone.

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casa, Netgalley, and Libro.fm for providing advanced copies of this!! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.

A gay, hallmark movie-esque mashup between 13 Going on 30 and a Christmas Carol. And mushy, adorable, romantic perfection.

This is one of those stories that leaves you all warm and fuzzy after reading. It's sweet, it's charming, and it leaves you believing that people really can change for the better.

Our main character Nolan is a selfish, hot mess muppet at the beginning of the book. He has a chip on his shoulder about how people treat his career aspirations and is willing to drop anything and everything to prove them wrong.

With his sister's wedding only adding to his stress, Nolan makes bad decision after bad decision. Leaving him alone and miserable after disappointing everyone he loves most. But with the help of his sister's odd guru company and some mysterious crystals, he finds himself 7 years in into his "ideal" future.

Even more alone and bitter, Nolan sets out to try and find his way back. And maybe right some wrongs along the way. Including fixing the very broken relationship between him and his best friend, Drew. The man he's also in love with.

Nolan's personal growth through this was fantastic. At 23, he's struggling to figure out what is important to him and how to balance all the aspects of his life. He's so driven by the desire to prove people wrong and be successful that he's ruining his relationships.

And his slow burn, friends to lovers romance with Drew gave me butterflies. They are endlessly supportive (even when one of them confesses to being sent to the future via crystals).

I also really liked the discussions of none romantic relationships in here. Nolan isn't only ruining his chances at romantic love, but also friendships and familial ones as well. And few things are more adorable than Nolan teaching his 3 year old niece the appropriate way to deliver a knock knock joke.

Overall I just had the best time with this sweet romance. I think it had some amazing discussions, complex main characters, and a romance guaranteed to give you butterflies.

I had so much fun reading this! It is very inspired by 13 going on 30 (one of my favorite movies)

I liked the character growth, and the relationship! it's not overly spicy it has 2 mild sex scenes so pretty tame! I really enjoyed Timothy's writing! very excited to read the first two books from this universe.

I loved the narrator so much! he did a good job making Nolan come to life.

it was just what I needed right now! 100% recommend reading it!

Thank you Netgalley, Timothy and Source Books for an advanced listeners copy in exchange for an honest review!
