Recs if you like The Necklace...

on average people read 40-60 pages an hour, so this is a continuously updated collection of books with 60 pages or less & a couple short story collections

A novel is a prose work typically above 40k words, though many fall between 60-100k. Anything between roughly 17k and 40k words is generally considered a novella, while works between about 7k and 17k words are classified as novelettes, with some flexibility ~

TL;DR - short stories with 7k-17k words. Get out of that slump.

This list comprises numerous French classics, from romantic epics, to realist critiques of society, to philosophical fiction, to scandalous stories, poetry, & more! I’ll be updating it sporadically.

This is a curated list of short stories that are must read for any literature enthusiast! Feel free to post your suggestions in comments.

Classics from French litterature and theatre plays (only the ones I've enjoyed).
