Recs if you like The Black Prince...

Based on the list/book published in 2006, general editor Peter Boxall.

For people who are interested in a long-term challenge to read all of the Booker Prize longlisted books, but before 2001 there were only shortlisted books so I am going to separate these into two different lists. Please see the pinned comment for the 2001+ companion list link and the winners for each year!

The books in this collection are all inspired by Shakespeare's plays, comedies, tragedies, and histories.

One of Britain's oldest literary awards, alongside the Hawthornden Prize. The prize was founded in 1919 and is based at the University of Edinburgh.
