Recs if you like The Red Scrolls of Magic ...

Suggestions are always welcome! Co-authored books in any genre (i.e. books that were written by at least two authors, either listed under one pen name or credited individually).

all of the books from the urban fantasy universe of shadowhunters created by cassandra clare!!! • i put the books in the reading order recommended by cassie clare herself <3 • there are a lot of reading orders, but i would recommend either this one or the publication order • i didn't include the extras that don't tell stories like the shadowhunters codex • the last four books ( the last king of faerie and the three after that ) are yet to be published

Full Reading Order of Cassandra Clares Shadowhunter Chronicles (Including: Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices, Dark Artifices, Last Hours, Eldest Cursed + Standalones & Novellas)

PS: You can read the Shadowhunter Codex anytime after The Mortal Instruments

✨ This is just my recommended order, you can obviously read only one series or read chronologically!

All of these are from the list that Texas lawmaker Matt Krause in October of 2021 tried and in many cases succeeded to get banned from classrooms and school libraries. There are quite a few interesting and odd choices in there which is part of why I wanted to share this list on here. Not necessarily recommendations but there are some pretty good books on here. As well as a lot of textbooks

In October 2021, Texas State Representative Matt Krause initiated an inquiry targeting a list of approximately 850 books in Texas public schools, alleging they could cause "discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress" regarding race or sex. The list disproportionately targeted LGBTQ+ topics, race/racism, and sex education.

This is my project to read through this list for myself - utilizing my local library system for access to these titles. Follow the journey or join along!
