I honestly didn’t believe I would end up reading yet another really long fic, but let me tell you, I loved every second of it. At first I was a little intimidated by the length of this story; I’ve come across fics that are unnecessarily long, but it wasn’t the case for this one.

Reading it felt kind of like watching a series. We have a lot of plot lines, and not just from Hermione and her multiple occupations, but from many side characters. My favorite of them all was Scorpius, when I tell you I really loved that kid; that kid was worth reading all +500k words. He was so adorable and seeing him deal with the grief of losing his mother and eventually being able to be happy and fulfilled, it was the most wholesome thing.

About the romance, I would say the Dramione was very slow-burn and maybe a little over analyzed. Specially on Hermione’s part. It came to a point where it really annoyed me with its repetitiveness, the amount of commitment issues she had came to a point where it simply was ridiculous and I wanted to enter the fic and shake some sense into her.

Draco’s arc was good, I really liked all his journey to seeing he was worth more than his past and coming to accept it and evolve in order to become a better man and a better parent.

The political plot was pretty good too, I think it captured what would most likely end up happening in the Ministry if we look closely to their previous actions.

I really loved all the side characters. The evolution of the story felt just perfect. Although I must say, by the amount of things I read along the fic I thought it had been more time in the story line that it really had, like, towards the end I realized it technically had only been like a few months, less than a year, and to me a lot of things happened to be that little of a time.

To me this fic joins Manacled, Secrets and Masks and DMATMOOBIL as one of my absolute favorite Dramione fics. It came to a point where I really didn’t wanted to say goodbye to this characters, I just loved them so much. Specially because this fic is kind of canon compliant (in some aspects) and has a lot of things I would have loved to be canon.
