Aria is an investigative journalist who writes articles about business. Recently, she wrote an article about a company called Waverley's. After the report was release, Aria was attacked. She was rescued by Richard, who is a paid bodyguard. Aria's friend Emma knew that the article was going to cause trouble so she hired Richard to guard Aria. When there are continued attempts on her life, Aria realizes the importance of having Richard with her, but she still doesn't care for him personally. Richard doesn't care, he's doing his job and he wouldn't be good at it if something happens to her. The more time that they spend together, the closer they get. Interestingly, Richard also has secrets that he is keeping.
This story had action and suspense along with the romance and I loved it! The reasons why Aria resented Richard were soft at best, but it increased the overall tension for her to be annoyed by him.
