Recs if you like Space Boy Volume 1 (Space Boy, #1)...

I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. I’m not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.

Also manga is not included.

These are some of my favorite comic series adapted as graphic novel series that don't come from Marvel or DC and don't involve a bunch of superpowered humans or aliens beating each other up. There is some aliens beating up other aliens in a few of these comics but they're more barfight-level than world-saving fisticuffs.

Graphic Novels and Series that started as Webtoons/Webcomics

Read the first few volumes online before committing to purchasing them. Most can be found on webtoon. (incl. Graphic Novels listed)

Saga by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples is amazing. And there are a ton of DC and Marvel series that end up on several websites' Best Of Sci-Fi lists. Here are some books that I've loved that I don't see mentioned enough.

There are a ton of all-ages graphic novels out there. Superhero books, romances, adventures, etc. These are series that have really engaging stories and a lot heart. If you like animated series like Avatar The Last Airbender, Adventure Time, Owl House, or the like, this list is for you.
