0Since I’m reading this series a few years after publication on most of the books, I’m in the know of there being more stories after Marked. It still excites me that the author continued this series though. And I cannot imagine, had I been reading these books in real time, how ecstatic I would have been to find out there were more coming a year after the last book. This series never fails to make me laugh and swoon and sit on the edge of my seat.
This trio of brothers seem like the perfect subjects for a few novellas. As usual with these books, the characters fall fast and hard. In this story, Chalton actually acknowledges that love happens fast with his race (the Vampires). Even if he didn’t, the chemistry between him and Olivia is off the charts so I wouldn’t have minded the insta-love. I seriously couldn’t wait for them to give in to their desires, and they didn’t make me wait very long.
There is a lot of action (in and out of bed) in this story. Which is the norm for the Dark Protectors series. But since it’s such a short story it seems even more packed with danger and racing around. I found myself not wanting to put the book down.
I can’t wait to read about the other Reese brothers and their HEAs.
