There were one or two moments where I felt like the fact that Laurel is deaf was really just the "hook" of the book, because it didn't seem like she was. I think there was even a line that said "she couldn't believe what she was hearing"... well, she should have been hearing nothing!
The kid brother picked up sign way too easily, it was stupid for Russ to be immediately fiercely protective and jealous, Laurel could read lips way too perfectly...
Also, a pointless thing that bothered me was the formatting of my ebook? The "breaks" were not differentiated at all--there was the same amount of space between 2 normal paragraphs of one person's point of view, then suddenly the next paragraph would be a perspective or time jump and it was always jarring to me.
Whatever, it was a fun quick read, predictable and somewhat steamy.
