Sarah has worked hard to get where she is in her company. They believe that she deserves to relax a little bit so they send her for a retreat. While she is there, she runs into someone that she never wants to see again: her ex Richard.
When Sarah returns to work, she is given a new project and is shocked to find out that the new client is Richard. Sarah doesn't want to do the project, but she also feels that it could really work to further her goals. Richard is surprised to see Sarah at his resort and feels like that they should clear the air between them. Sarah really has no desire to do that, but as they talk, they both realize that they have both made conclusions that are really unfair.
Will they be able to make it past the wounds that they have inflicted on each other in the past and move on to a new relationship (or will history repeat itself in the form of his meddling mother?)? Will they be able to work together to get the project completed for both of them?
