epic world building. stunning characterization. gender fuckery. toxic mentors. prolific writing. so much damn creative magic. and it wouldn't be 80's-90's lit without some problematic age gap romances. and she's white and from the uk so u know there's that out-of-nowhere unchallenged racism and orientalism. and ofc rampant fatphobia. lots and lots of caveats as tends to be the case. u know her u love her it's DWJJJJJ
