Meh not for me hoping the next book is better.

I want to preface this with I really like the series and I was excited to see a M/M pairing in it as well. I have loved all the books and most of the previous relationships seem fairly organic and well balanced.

But, and yes there is a but, I felt just a tad bit creeped out by how much Aleron reminded me of a child. Even in Ingram's book, in which Ingram seemed a tad more mature, made me uneasy. But this book just made me very very uncomfortable with the maturity level of Aleron. He is too much like a prepubescent child for my tastes. One that has to have someone tell him how his body works. And if it had been left at told and Aleron figured it out on his own great. Or if he had been playing with himself on his own and had to have someone explain what it was he was doing that is another. But to have a more mature person have to show him physically how to even just get hard just made me go ick. Especially since, maybe the male readers can enlighten me if I am wrong, but based on watching my little brother growing up everything tends to give them an erection at puberty. Even animals tend to figure it out pretty quickly when they hit puberty. It is why you have to pull colts and bull calves as soon as they are weaning age. Otherwise they will climb up on mom and get her pregnant.

The fact that they need a birds and bees conversation is just weird. Maybe I am the only one who felt this way and it is a me problem. The whole thing just felt like a grooming thing. So it was an uncomfortable read for me. I hope they get Aleron that extra humanity soon so when I see them in future books it doesn't come across as an age inappropriate coupling.

Honestly the more I read the book the more I noticed Aleron is not suffering from a lack of humanity just a lack of intelligence and definitely maturity. I kept thinking of him as a elementary age kid who in reality should still be more interested in playing on a swing set and finger painting, than playing with his, or someone else's c*ck.
