Recs if you like Even Cowgirls Get the Blues...

Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" is one of my favorite series. It's heavily flawed, involves an incredible amount of Stephen King books that aren't labeled as "Dark Tower book", and it's soooooo many pages. (But I love it.) This list is made up of non-King books referenced in, or have parallel narratives/themes to. It's also just a great set of books.

Books with a distinct literary DNA that reflects the chaotic, revolutionary era they were born into and often show a systemic distrust of authority. Whether the enemy is the military (Catch-22), psychiatric institutions (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), or government surveillance (Vineland)

Gross girls, girlhood, and the like

Early 2000s coded humorous novels. Probably vaguely (or explicitly) politically incorrect, focused more on zany one-liners and witticisms than the plot--but not always! Character heavy, typically with an ensemble cast. Fun and feisty. (This list is currently male heavy, so please recommend female authors to add!)

Books that kinda scratch the Pynchon itch. Pls suggest more
