Bears over Bears
Bears in all their shapes and forms and across genres (this includes sentient teddybears and memoirs). If not friend why friend-shaped?! As long as the bear is plot or character relevant the book can land in here. Feel free to recommend books to be added (maybe also tell me why you think the bear functions as relevant for the story). Women in Translation Prize: Complete Longlist
The Warwick Prize for Women in Translation 'aims to address the gender imbalance in translated literature' and is open to works of fiction, poetry, literary non-fiction, and fiction for children or young adults. Only works written by a woman (original authors, not the translators) are eligible. All works longlisted since the prize began in 2017 are collected on this list.
