Max seems to always been in trouble for something and even though she as an option B she can go for the council have really made it a lose lose situation for her her death or someone else's, her farther no less. After seeing how she handles things in book 1 Women of Blood & Bone you know she is strong, determined and will find a way to handle this but the fact someone is also after something she has does put a bit of a spanner in the works. Get settled in for one hell of a ride with Max while she tries to keep those she cares about safe, tries to work out who she can trust and kicks butt!
