Recs if you like Shatterglass...

JK Rowling is a bigot who uses her platform to hurt transfolks and other marginalized groups (plus she literally just quoted Mein Kampf on the bird site). If you're still supporting her in 2025, don't bother talking to me.

One of the most underrated authors I’ve ever read.

Welcome to the library of dragons. Whether they are companions, villains, wild creatures, or folklore, these cultural icons are believed to stem from humans' natural fear of snakes and have evolved through the ages to become creatures of fantastical wonder.

Tamora Pierce’s books set in the world of Emmelan. You can start at the beginning, meeting the characters early in their lives, or accidentally jump into the later books (as I did) and still enjoy yourself. Battle Magic and The Will of the Empress are personal favorites and very fun on their own.

Explore the world of Emelan in Tamora Pierce’s Circle of Magic series as Sandry, Daja, Briar, and Tris learn about their unusual magic and set out to improve the world around them.
