Begin With Me:
Abby is one hell of a tormented sole and only Wes and distance from Colorado keep her from completing losing it but when Wes asks her to come home and help him she can't say no. I love how we really get to know Abby and Wes from when they first meet as it is that world building that helps you see that Abby isn't just going mad nor is Wes wasting his time trying to help her. This is not a light fluffy read, this is about heartache, cruel and evil people who are meant to care for children, loss, hopelessness, love and so much more. I can not wait to read the next book to see what happens as I need ot know that Abby and Wes can have there happy ever after and that things haven't gone so far that there is no hope for them!
Back to You:
After the shocking cliffy of book 1 we are thrown back into Abby being taken and Wes feeling hopeless but thanks to the team from HIB! Now even though Abby is safe she is an emotional wreak and Wes is no better after feeling like he has failed her. While Abby leaves to heal Wes spirals out of control and Sterling bless his cotton socks is left to sort out Wes one way o the other and be a connection for Abby after both Wes and their Mum cease contact. I loved the letters that really makes you feel what Abby is going through, the pain, despair, frustrations, helplessness and then determination and it is due this that you really get what recovery can look like as well as see Wes slowly break. There are so many emotions you feel during this book ranging from though the spectrum of highs an lows that you are whole heartily invested in seeing them get it through there heads they are meant to be together and that they both have people in their lives who want them to do nothing more than live the lives they deserve. I freaking loved this book and every bit of emotion I went through it is so well written and really comes from the heart, if you have never tried a Claudia Y. Burgoa book then try this duet or really try any of her books as you will never be disappointed.
Once Upon a Holiday:
This has the perfect balance of fun, frustration, determination, miscommunication, falling in love and meddling families. June and Sterling are complex people with hearts of gold trying to find there place in life and due to kismet they find each other but they are still going to have to work at it and decide they are worth it for it to work out. Get comfy because you wont be putting this book down until the end!
