Historical fiction with magic, whether a lot or a little. I've mainly included books set in the 19th century to the early 20th. Some don't specify what year they're set in but have the 'vibes' of that era.

First book in a series counts as the entire series.

A list of stories with sentient houses and other things that go bump in the night (to varying degrees of spookiness)

Cozy and magical, books you can curl up with and read about magical worlds, great storytelling, and otherworldly romance

Because the best books will have swords wielding heros (or villains/antiheroes) that have the most unfortunate luck (that you can only laugh at).
