I really waffled between a 4 star and 5 star rating on this one. I love the character or Rex more than any of the others so far. I don't know why...there's not a particular reason. It may be his loyalty and sense of family, but I'm not sure. But I felt that something was left out.
**Possible Spoilers**
Ms. Foster goes through great lengths to let us know that Jade was stalked by a previous boyfriend and that is why she moved home. It's mentioned a few times that he "would never follow her to Colorado". As much as I know that romance novels have many unrealistic ideas and are meant for fun and an escape, I can't help but feel this issue wasn't quite handled correctly. I kept waiting for the ex-boyfriend to come out of the woodwork! Not only would it have added to the story if he had, but it would have been more realistic so that young women out there would realize that this is a serious issue.
Okay, now that I'm stepping off of my soapbox, I will say I loved this book. I really enjoyed learning more about the Braden patriarch and his motivations as well as see the siblings leaning on each other more.
