Note: Not specifically a list of good LGBTQ+ representation (though many of them absolutely are, and many are written by queer and/or trans authors!). But I haven't read all of them (yet), so this list doesn't inherently imply my recommendation, as such

If you ask someone what apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic fiction they've read, there's a fair chance much of that list will have been written by cis men, because they're the books that get the most promotion in the genre.

My hope is that this list will help someone find a new favourite author! ♡

adult and young adult books about queer women/girls surviving in apocalyptic dystopias (zombies, viruses, disasters, evil governments, etc.) because even the end of the world wouldn’t stop me from being super gay.

Every queer book I’ve ever read and loved. Some might be cliche, cringe, or basic, but I don’t care. Enjoy! I certainly did :)

Note: this list includes both queer-focused novels (romance) and novels of other genres that have queer main characters. Also it will have a lot of Casey McQuiston.
