Darling Melody (The Muse #3)

Put on a show. It’s what I do best, what we all do best. The five of us are well-versed in faking smiles and saying what needs to be said to make it in this industry. Our fans know what we want them to know. They see an image of unbreakable friendship. The perfect team. If only they knew the truth. But we continue with the show, and when a little truth spills out into the world, we cover it up in the only way we know how. Act like an argument was in fact a lover’s spat. The world presumed what they wanted, and we just went along with it. Maybe it’s for the best. Maybe it’ll break us. Drama and rumours follow us at every turn. Betrayal. Despair. Loss. It’s all too much, and I don’t know how much more we can take. Darling Melody is a reverse harem/why choose with a HEA and no cliffhanger. It features mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences. Full CW can be found in the author’s note. It is book 3 of The Muse Series, which will consist of four connecting standalone stories, therefore each story can be read alone

This is a why-choose romance telling the story of the members of the rock band Deity. I don't want to tell you too much, I feel like you should read this story cold like I did. It's emotional, riveting, sad at points, inspiring at others. The dynamics between Bea and the other members of the band are a constant push and pull and until the very end, it's not clear how things are going to resolve.

This book does a great job with mental health representation and it is nice to see them actually talk about therapy and receiving help. There were a lot of feelings and emotions for all of them to resolve and it was nice to see that maybe they couldn't do it all on their own. There is definitely a fair share of spice here, but the story is amazing as well.
