Recs if you like Alcestis...

in progress - taking suggestions

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Hyperfixating on mythology but wished it was two girls instead? Then this list is for you!

I have other lists for sapphic retellings of fairytale/folklore, plays, poems, ballets and classics!

Women who are often background characters in the story, modern retellings that give voice to the women in folklore and mythology.

Greek, Roman, Arthurian, Norse, Celtic, Hindu, Japanese, and more!

Do you love fairytales, folklore, mythology, and classics but wished they were sapphic? Then this list is for you!

I haven't read all of them, so if you believe one of these does not contain a sapphic romance (subplot), pls tell me in the comments! Recommendations are welcome!

Stories of Greek Myths but very clearly Queer. Note: May not be actually sad, I just liked the name too much. Open to suggestions 😀
