Caleb Lawson can’t fall for his daughter’s new nanny. Linnea is too young for him. And worse, she’s his sister-in-law. Caleb lost his wife when their daughter was a baby. He barely knew Linnea and hasn’t seen her in years. But after a string of caregivers who didn’t work out, he reluctantly agrees to his in-laws’ suggestion—Linnea should move to Seattle and be his live-in nanny. He’s completely unprepared for the woman she’s become—smoking hot with dangerous curves, kissable lips, and shy smile. Linnea Frasier is pursuing a career as a concert pianist, but her new job as a nanny to her niece is a welcome change. Her insta-crush on Caleb? That’s a little complicated, but who could blame her? He’s gorgeous and smart, and from the moment they meet, sparks fly. She’s perfect for Caleb’s daughter—fun, patient, and kind. She might be perfect for him too, but he can’t think that way. She needs to live her own life, not be saddled with his insta-family. He can’t fall in love with his daughter’s nanny. But it might be too late. Author’s note: A dedicated single dad gets an unexpected chance at love. A woman who comes into her own, an adorable little girl, big laughs, text fails, and a family that is finally made whole.

Book 3 in the Book Boyfriends series. I loved Caleb so much in the first two books and I was really looking forward to him getting his love story. But Linnea was unexpected. The age difference and the nanny thing didn’t bother me. But it was just really weird that she was the baby sister of his dead wife. I just couldn’t get over that aspect. Aside from that, they had a cute enough romance, I suppose. Just weird. I just didn’t love the idea of them being together. And I didn’t love the way Caleb had doubts about whether or not he would still be with Melanie if she were still alive. I just thought that was needlessly dragging her character when she wasn’t around to defend herself just for the sake of making Linnea be his one true love.
Weston saved this book for me. I was really glad to see more of him, especially the bonus chapter at the end.
Overall, I still love the characters in the series. I was just disappointed a little with how things ended up for Caleb. I’m happy that he ended up happy and with a big family, but it’s just awkward.
