Again, I am not a huge horror fan. But this is a story that kept me in a chokehold from the beginning. I legitimately bought the audiobook immediately after finishing Parasite because it left off on such a cliffhanger that I had to continue the series. Once again, Mira Grant has a talent for beautiful, lyrical prose and vibrant descriptions that lends a sharper edge to the horror she writes. It’s amazing the word pictures she’s able to create, because they both terrify and awe me. I will probably never read another horror author, but I will always read Mira Grant’s work.
