I thought that this was going to be a cute and sweet holiday novella. Even a little steamy since it's K. Webster. While it was steamy and cute at times, I feel like the synopsis is misleading. This was set in the 1960s and our hero is a widow who's been grieving his wife and child for the past five years. Had I have known those two things, I might have passed on this one.

Widows are a turnoff for me in romance and this reminded me why. He has been grieving for the past five years, but over the course of like 4 days, he's healded and ready to move on with Judy. Maybe if this was more fleshed out into a full-length novel then it could be believable. I got whiplash from him pushing her away, feeling guilty about wanting to bang, and then turning into this possessive loving person.

Umm, I'm not sold. I liked the Christmas aspect and Judy's sassiness, but that's about it.
