Recs if you like Hearts Still Beating...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

If you ask someone what apocalyptic fiction they've read involving zombies, there's a fair chance most or even all of that list will have been written by cis men, because they're the books that get the most publication & promotion in the genre

My hope is that this list will help someone find a new favourite author! ♡

Sister list to The End & After - No Cis-Male Authors

First of a series only

Suggestions so welcome, particularly for trans, enby & other authors of marginalised genders

Creepy books made better because there are queer characters

literally just give me yearning at the end of the world

a definitely not exhaustive list of apocalypse books with queer characters

{ recommendations welcome }

Queer and trans stories in, or after, the zombie apocalypse!

First of a series only

Sister list to: Apocalyptic, but Make it Queer

As always, suggestions incredibly welcome!

☠

Note: Not specifically a list of good LGBTQ+ representation (though many of them absolutely are, and many are written by queer and/or trans authors!). But I have not read all of them (yet), so this list doesn't inherently imply my recommendation, as such.

adult and young adult books about queer women/girls surviving in apocalyptic dystopias (zombies, viruses, disasters, evil governments, etc.) because even the end of the world wouldn’t stop me from being super gay.

Because we’re living in a dystopia

Any book that has Sapphic characters or sub plot!

These authors rock socks off

Zombie books that feel like ur in the Apocalypse 🧟‍♂️🌿🧟‍♀️

(if you recognize the title as being a Day6 lyric plz be my friend)
