This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!

Books where substance abuse or addiction play a part in the story. Not always the main characters, but does have some kind of impact on the plot. Including memoirs but I haven’t read many so I’d love suggestions of both non-fiction and fiction.

The Bee is an online magazine that promoted working class writing. Working Class Library is their podcast series that takes one book a month and does a deep drive. I am slowly curating a list to track these.
