This is the first of a new serial romance. This installment introduces us to a little bit of the predicaments facing Flint and Eliza. Flint has inherited the ranch from his grandfather and to say the rest of his family is bitter is putting it mildly. His cousins are mooches and have been living off the grandfather and not really doing any work. Flint arrives and the family immediately expects him to start providing for them. They do inform Flint that something has been stealing eggs and milk, but they haven't made an effort to figure out what's happening. While settling into the house, Flint notes that there is no dust in one of the guest rooms, so he suspects someone has been squatting in the house. Then more milk and eggs disappear, so he stakes out the barn. He catches Eliza and somehow ends up inviting her to stay in the house with him. The more time they spend together, the more they are intrigued by each other. Things start to blossom and they share some kisses. But when Flint fails to defend Eliza to his family, will they be over before they even get started?
