Cooper is the star goalie for the San Francisco Stingers. He participates in a date with a player auction for charity. The winner of the date gifts her prize to Sophie. They are taken with each other from the first date. But the interference of other and public opinion threaten to break up their new found love. Will they find their way around the trouble or be finished forever?
I loved how this book dealt with a delicate situation with Cooper. It's a part of his life forever and doesn't go away, but it was nice to see how he dealt with it and moved on with his life. I also liked how together it was addressed in the relationship and neither of them had a problem dealing with it like adults. Christi, Cooper's sister though? I wanted to smack her and tell her to mind her own business. But the epilogue redeemed her for me a little bit, since Sophie obviously forgave her, I guess I could to :)
