A traumatic event, a scar on her hand she doesn't know how she got and living in a Town that believes in superstition. This was a good read about Laney finally finding out what happened all those years ago however it is not as she expected and you are left unsure of ho to trust to help her. I liked the characters and the storyline along with the pace of the book, the only thing that got me a bit was after the first revelation she seemed to take things at a pretty good pace and agree to stuff a bit to readily for my liking. Apart from wanting a bit more emotional reaction to some things it was a good Sunday afternoon read and I look forward to reading the next book to see where things go.
