Recs if you like Something is Killing the Children, Vol. 1...

Sometimes we need a little bit more out of horror books. What’s better than adding creepy art?! From ghosts and monsters to serial killers and slow descents into madness, this is a list of graphic novels that delve into the dark. Some are stand-alones and some are part of a series, I’ve only included the first of these to save my sanity (and space). Recommendations encouraged Please no Marvel or DC

Books that remind me of Mulder and Scully and their wild x-file hunting days. Suggestions welcome. I’m forever chasing that high.

These are some of my favorite comic series adapted as graphic novel series that don't come from Marvel or DC and don't involve a bunch of superpowered humans or aliens beating each other up. There is some aliens beating up other aliens in a few of these comics but they're more barfight-level than world-saving fisticuffs.

fiction books with a main character or featured side character that fits the D&D Fighter class! here for the armor, the slashing, the cool combo moves! recs and input welcome!

Graphic Novels of the YA and Adult variety

Read the first few volumes online before committing to purchasing them. Most can be found on webtoon. (incl. Graphic Novels listed)

Books about monstrous women (metaphorical and otherwise)

With love and respect and hugs and kisses to DC and Marvel, they are only a tiny part of the comic world and there are so many others. These are comics I recommend to beginners😊

Suggestions welcome‼️

Note: I’m not including mangas or graphic novels on this list - I’m focusing more on the multi-volume ‘traditional’ comic (with a couple small exceptions to the “multi” part) :33

Maybe you've got bored of seeing the same old Marvel/DC comics at the bookstore and you're looking for something from a different place? Here's a list of Graphic Novels that mainly fill an SF, SFF or Fantasy niche that are not from Marvel or DC (barring Vertigo imprint) publishers.

spooky, disturbing and scary reads in comic format

Horror Movies/TV Shows that are based on books (that are not Stephen King). Wether if you are watching or reading the book you will check twice if your doors are locked and no evil is in your home lol.

For better or worse, mothers who haunt their daughters and the narrative.

No matter if you start with an issue or a volume, these are some of my favorite stories and voices leading the way in the comic book industry today.

get yourself a cup of whatever, a blanket and one of these 👇🏻
