Recs if you like The River Between...

Based on the list/book published in 2006, general editor Peter Boxall.

An incomplete list of African Classics

— — — —

1. All books are from 2006 and before
2. Not ordered in any way
3. If the books are a trilogy/series, only the first book has been added

Suggestions welcomed 😊

puts beret on a jaunty angle ‘why yes i went to Oxbridge and go skiing on my holibobs with papa, why do you ask?’ takes a hit of tobacco flavoured vape, puts asterisk in margin of the obscure classic i’m ‘reading’

the list for people who want to look ‘well read’ and need some books to name drop - look no further if you have read them, more power to you, but this is explicitly about the people who claim to have read them but can’t read instructions on pasta

Overlooked, lesser known classics from all over the world and of many genres.

This list also exists as a book club on Fable under the same name.

Probably due to my own lack of knowledge To East, West and South Africa

A non exhaustive list consider this an appetizer and as I grow in my journey I’ll make more specific ones.
