Is being marked with just one of the powers enough? Is being marked with six? What about being marked with all twelve? When Mackenzie’s seventeenth birthday comes around, she planned to spend a few years at the school for the marked learning about her new powers, and then leaving and living her life. But nothing goes as planned when she attends the marking ceremony and all twelve marks appear. Kenzie lives in a world where being marked with six powers is normal, being marked with seven or more is rare. But being marked with twelve? Well, that’s unheard of. With learning about her new powers, the last thing Kenzie needs to worry about is falling for her hot teacher. Not to mention the unneeded distractions of the sexy twins, the jerk in all her classes, and her older brother’s best friend who finally seems to notice her. Romance and marked powers are never a good mix, not when there are people who desire her for more than her heart. Kenzie may not know, understand or want her twelfth power, but someone does. This is a reverse-harem series.

A new reverse harem story to fall in love with? Check! Lord knows I love a reverse harem and this did not disappoint!
Mackenzie lives in a world where being marked with six powers is normal, being marked with seven or more is rare. When she attends her marks ceremony she comes out twelve marks which like being one in a million. She just wanted to go to this school for the three years she had to and leave to do what she actually wanted to. When she gets those twelve marks her life doesn't go the way she thought it would go anymore. Through in mean girls, hot guys, and magic and you get this amazing book!
Mackenzie was a pretty great main character! She was witty, tough and just great to read about. She was really easy to connect with. I liked that she didn't back down from the mean girls and teachers and that she stood up for what she thought was right. I liked going through the motions with Mackenzie while she is going through her classes and learning about all the different powers.
I loved the guys! We have Easton, Enzo, the twins Logan and Locke, and a teacher Mr. Daniels. (yes I said teacher) The authors did a great job with giving each of them different personalities. I also liked her best friend Kelly, I just wish she would make better decisions.
Now some of the plots were a little bit easy to predict but don't let that deter you away from reading this. There were still some surprises and the moments with her and guys were great.
This book ends on a cliffhanger that was just cruel. I hate that I have to wait until February to get more of this series.
