A Journey Through the Self
A compilation of books (mostly fiction) in which the main character/s set out on a journey, leading to moments of meditation, introspection, meandering walks through the memory, conflicts with both the self, the path, and others, and ultimately: change, for both the characters and the reader. In these novels, the journey is more important than the destination.

I can't remember the title, but the cover is blue
Ah yes, this ol' issue that has plagued librarians and bookstore clerks for decades.
And sometimes you find the right book, but... can you even call that shade blue?

HarperCollins American Classics
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, HarperCollins curated a list of their books they say "define the nation". This is that list of books!

It gets so hot
MUNA wrote the song it gets so hot. And these are books that feel like that song. Literally and metaphorically.
The sun or summer or heatwave is a character or an oppressive force. Or the city of LA is a character or an oppressive force or a key setting. Or a combo of both. Or itโs a book MUNA have recommended. Or itโs just a bit steamy ๐ฅต

The Rise of the Counter-Culture (50 Novels)
Books with a distinct literary DNA that reflects the chaotic, revolutionary era they were born into and often show a systemic distrust of authority. Whether the enemy is the military (Catch-22), psychiatric institutions (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), or government surveillance (Vineland)

Dean Winchester's TBR
Books that I think Dean Winchester would have read or would enjoy reading. Some would hit him hard, some he would read to laugh at the lore but end up loving, and some guilty pleasures.
