Recs if you like Crown of Feathers (Crown of Feathers, #1)...

JK Rowling is a bigot who uses her platform to hurt transfolks and other marginalized groups (plus she literally just quoted Mein Kampf on the bird site). If you're still supporting her in 2025, don't bother talking to me.

I'm sure some of these are already on your TBR, so might as well add some more! Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!

Books where one of the main character(s) pretends to be someone they’re not—literally. Always open to suggestions!

Dimension 20 first success, Fantasy High. 3 seasons of high school high jinks that can undeniable make me laugh even on my darkest days. Peak comfort seasons and you also get the banger of two spin-off seasons with The Seven and Pirate of Leviathan.

Sibling rivalry, envy, jealousy, resentment, bitterness, and all the love in between. Recs are welcome!

Birds on the cover. Why do they all creep me out so much? Extra points if they’re weird/creepy.

Please feel free to add your suggestions/recommendations!

Books with average 4 or more 🌟 ratings and at least 100 points of engagement (reviews & posts) in Pagebound from the Master Fantasy and Romantasy List by readandtellstories. For those times when I want to find highly rated fantasy/romantasy books that aren't necessarily indie, self-pub. Books in a series will include only the first book. I can neither confirm nor deny the right for these books to have these ratings. This list will be updated monthly based on outputs from prime list.

Books that focus on mythical creatures besides dragons or humanoids. Only includes the first book in each series. Feel free to offer suggestions in the comments.

Trilogies that all have an average 4 or more star ratings and at least 100 points of engagement (reviews & posts) in Pagebound across all three books. This list is collected from first books in series from the Master Fantasy and Romantasy List by readandtellstories. For those times when I need highly rated epics. I have not read all of these books. Please let me know if any should be added.

Books that captures LBFAD's high-fantasy scale by pairing soft-hearted heroines with arrogant, emotionless supreme rulers whose icy hearts are thawed by unexpected devotion. Through forced magical tethers, celestial war politics, and sweeping emotional sacrifices, each story mirrors the intoxicating shift from hostile captive dynamic to fierce, universe-defying protection.

A collection of different series that I enjoyed and would recommend to my friends 🫶🏻 spanning different genres and age groups ☆ only the first book is included ☆
