Reading suggestions for the Trans Rights Readathon! (Any year of course). Books with trans characters of any label (or any non-cis gender identity) by trans/non-cis authors. I have not read all the books in this list. Feel free to name your fave books by trans authors in the comments!

Before we started defining novellas by word count, they were defined as being any book less than 200 pages. Source: my Analysis of Short Stories & Literature professor in community college. I loved that class. But he loved James Joyce. So, ymmv, I guess.

queer books under 200 pages because sometimes you just want to read something short (and queer)

dismemberment, parasitic infection, medical transmutation... body horror truly has it all. when the horror lives inside you, when there's no external danger, what do you do? you can't run from the transformation you've undergone. body horror centers the unbecoming of who you are at your core and the subsequent changes on the outside.

Schlock horror refers to low-budget, intentionally sensationalist, or "trashy" horror films that are excessively gory, campy, or melodramatic.
