From international movie releases, live-action adaptations, and instantly recognisable titles, these are the mangas to read if you want to sound like you know what you're talking about. Mainstream? Just getting back into reading and feeling a bit overwhelmed at all the options? These were my go to recommendations for people while I was a longtime bookseller! I've tried to touch on most genres in this master list so you have a good selection, but I definitely could have missed a few since there are so many.

These are works with siblings (borthers/sisters) as its protagonist and heart of the story. Don't need to necessary be blood related or in good term. It can be rivalry, as long as the story have siblinghood as one of the theme. The siblings need to be a fully-fleshed character, not background character and—weird that I need to clarify it—NOT A FUCKING INCEST 🔪
