Considering this was a free book…on National book day…holy shit Holly Jackson has no need to slay that hard. This book was really fun, and was a dope concept. It even felt tense, even though it was a board game. It was cool to see all the characters again, all together and to see how Pip’s mind worked on the regular; because honestly, she was always going to get into shit. But as a nice little prequel for the rest of the series I thought it was brilliant. Just as good as the rest and the characters were presented just as well as they always were. Jackson is amazing at writing complex mysteries, she even makes a board game full of high stakes twists and turns.
