This is like literary sorbet, books that are simple, sweet, and pretty easy to digest when you want to turn your brain off, decompress after a big, intense book, or break out of a reading slump.

I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that I think matches at least one of these cover prompts: craft, food, motion, biomes/landscapes, animals, weather.

You know what this is

Romance books which just make you feel good while reading them. They have a happy end and good vibes overall. Maybe you enjoy reading them during the summer or when you need a little something to take your mind of things. They don't have very dark topic, though they don't have to be without a little conflict to keep you entertained. Feel free to comment so I can add more recommendations!

These romances are a love letter in more ways then one...

If the male character takes the time to cook or feed her, I WILL BE ON MY KNEES! That is the kind of care and thoughtfulness that I just eat up. It's not necessarily golden retriever energy. It's proactive and nuturing. Pls pls pls drop recs in the comments.

Some people like their male leads to be alpha chads. I'm not one of them. I like them soft. I like them anxious. I like them doing traditionally female jobs and roles and hobbies.

Mostly romance because that's what I read but other genres present.

Usually just adding the first volume in the series unless they are stand-alones or have distinctly different focus/MCs (most romance series).

Books that really should be read via audiobook instead of physical/digital copy. Production, narrator, experience all top tier. Memoirs narrated by the authors.

Romance books featuring meaningful mental health and neurodivergent representation, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and more. Because every kind of mind deserves butterflies and a happily ever after.

Spicy romance books with cute, illustrated covers that don't look nearly as spicy as they are 🌸

My absolute fav trope in the world!!! because nothing hits harder than the slow burn, the pining, the “we’ve always been just friends” until suddenly one touch changes everything 😭💌 Like… the history, the comfort, the way they already know each other’s hearts, it just makes the romance 10x more swoony.

All these books made me cry heaps, mainly from themes of loss and grief (so please ensure you read any TW)
